1, GEORGE WINSTANLEY BARTON of Victoria in the Colony

of Hongkong a Member of the Firm of Douglas Lapraik and

Company do solemnly and sincerely declare and say as

follows :

1. Ihave read the Declaration in the matter of the above

mentioned application made by the said Henry Percy White

on the 22nd day of December 1922.

2. The said Henry Percy White is now absent from the

Colony of Hongkong on a visit to England.

3. The said Henry Percy White and this Declarant are

partners in the said Firm of Douglas Lapraik and Company

and I am fully acquainted with all his business arrangements.

4. I further state that the said Henry Percy White is

not the Agent or Solicitor of the above named Applicant.

5. I am informed and verily believe that the Solicitors

and Agents for the said Walter Guthrie Erwin in the matter

of the above mentioned Application are Messieurs Deacon,

Harston and Shenton, Solicitors of No.1 Des Voeux Road
